Event and Conference Support: When appropriate, school and department event hosts at GW can receive expert advice on elements surrounding their events.
The Single-Use Plastics Implementation Plan & Guide / Green Event and Catering Guide: The University has committed to eliminating single-use plastics on GW property to the greatest extent possible. In accordance with the University’s Single Use Plastics Policy, GW Organization required to follow its restrictions and guidance regarding single-use plastics.
GW Student Handbook: The Student Handbook is the primary resource for information about organizational benefits and expectations, policies, and available support. Please review the Events, Meetings, and Activities section to be sure your Student Organization's events follow the processes and policies to ensure the safe and effective execution of the program.
Special Events Insurance Coverage: Any activity or event sponsored by a third party at a GW facility must be covered by liability insurance procured by the third party.
Foggy Bottom/Mount Vernon Hotels: Procure to Pay (P2P) has negotiated hotel lodging discounts offering reduced pricing at specific properties that are convenient to the GW Foggy Bottom and Mount Vernon campuses.
A-Z Vendor List: iBuy+ and Procure-to-Pay offers the opportunity of savings to GW and MFA faculty and staff via contracts with various suppliers.
Event Forms
Supplier Selection Memo Form: For use when you are requesting contracts at, or in excess, of $25,000.
Event Support Request Form: Request for assistance from the GW Venues Team requires at least 10 weeks of lead time.
University Leadership Request Form: If you have submitted an Event Request form on behalf of University Advancement AND the President or the Provost's attendance is being requested, this form must be completed.
Space Modification Form: Requests for modifications of space need to be made online through this form.
External Client Request Form: External Clients must submit an External Client Request Form and be approved to host an event in one of GWU's Specialty Venues.
